Responsibilities
- Perform patient intake, vitals, and prepare patients for examination by the provider.
- Administer medications and injections as directed by licensed physicians and nurses.
- Manage electronic health records (EHR) accurately and ensure all documentation is up-to-date.
- Assist with basic laboratory procedures, including phlebotomy and EKGs.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and sanitary environment in the examination rooms and common areas.
- Communicate effectively with patients regarding their care plans and instructions.
Qualifications
- Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or State-issued equivalent required.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
- Minimum of 1 year of clinical experience in a medical office setting preferred.
- Strong proficiency with electronic health record systems (Epic, AthenaHealth, etc.).
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a focus on patient care.
- Ability to work independently and efficiently during the night shift.
