Responsibilities
- Assist patients with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, toileting).
- Monitor and record vital signs (blood pressure, pulse, temperature).
- Report any changes in patient condition or behavior to the nursing staff immediately.
- Provide emotional support and companionship to patients during the night shift.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized patient environment.
- Document patient care activities and intake/output accurately.
- Transport patients to treatment areas or meals as needed.
Qualifications
- Current and active CNA license in the state of Virginia.
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required.
- Previous experience working in a hospital or long-term care facility preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work flexible night shift schedules, including weekends and holidays.
- Compassionate, patient-centered approach to care.
