Responsibilities
- Administer injections, medications, and wound care under physician supervision
- Prepare patients for examinations, including vital sign assessment and history documentation
- Maintain accurate electronic health records (EHR) and patient confidentiality
- Assist with laboratory procedures including phlebotomy and specimen processing
- Coordinate patient scheduling and follow-up communications
- Ensure exam rooms are stocked, sanitized, and compliant with OSHA standards
- Provide patient education on treatment plans and preventive care
Qualifications
- Active Medical Assistant certification (CMA, RMA, or equivalent)
- Minimum 2 years of clinical experience in a fast-paced medical environment
- Proficiency in EHR systems (e.g., Epic, Cerner) and Microsoft Office
- BLS/CPR certification and current Pennsylvania state credentials
- Exceptional interpersonal skills with diverse patient populations
- Ability to multitask efficiently in high-pressure situations
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to HIPAA compliance
