Responsibilities
- Perform clinical procedures including EKGs, phlebotomy, and wound care
- Assist physicians with examinations and minor surgical procedures
- Manage electronic health records (EHR) systems with precision
- Administer medications and immunizations per protocols
- Prepare and sterilize medical equipment
- Provide patient education on treatment plans
- Coordinate lab orders and follow-up communications
- Maintain HIPAA compliance in all documentation
Qualifications
- Active Medical Assistant certification (CMA, RMA, or NCMA)
- NYS license to practice as a Medical Assistant
- Minimum 2 years clinical experience in ambulatory care
- Proficiency in EHR systems (Epic or NextGen preferred)
- BLS/CPR certification
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to multitask in high-pressure situations
- Spanish bilingualism strongly preferred
