- Maintain accurate patient account records and documentation
- Conduct regular audits to ensure coding accuracy and compliance
- Collaborate with clinical teams to clarify billing discrepancies
- Stay updated on CMS guidelines and payer policies
Qualifications
- 3+ years of medical billing experience with commercial and government payers
- Certified Professional Biller (CPB) or CPC certification preferred
- Proficiency in medical coding (ICD-10, CPT, HCPCS)
- Expertise in EHR systems (Epic or NextGen preferred)
- Strong knowledge of HIPAA and healthcare compliance
- Exceptional attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Ability to meet urgent deadlines in a fast-paced environment
