Responsibilities
- Process and submit clean claims to insurance companies and government payers
- Verify patient insurance coverage and benefits eligibility
- Resolve billing discrepancies and denials through appeals
- Maintain compliance with HIPAA, CMS, and payer regulations
- Generate monthly reports on billing metrics and collections
- Collaborate with clinical teams to ensure documentation accuracy
- Update patient records with billing and payment information
Qualifications
- 2+ years of medical billing experience with commercial and Medicare/Medicaid
- Certified Professional Biller (CPB) or CPC credential preferred
- Proficiency in Epic, NextGen, or similar EHR systems
- Expert knowledge of CPT, ICD-10, and HCPCS codes
- Strong analytical skills for claim resolution
- Excellent communication for payer negotiations
- Ability to meet strict billing deadlines
