Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care and assistance with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Monitor patient health status and promptly report any changes, symptoms, or concerns to the charge nurse.
- Assist with the administration of medication and treatments under the direct supervision of a licensed nurse.
- Take and record accurate vital signs, such as blood pressure, temperature, and pulse.
- Document patient information, including intake and output, in electronic health records (EHR) accurately.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and sanitary environment for patients and visitors.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the healthcare team to ensure holistic care.
Qualifications
- Current Missouri CNA or STNA certification and license in good standing.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) preferred.
- Previous experience in a hospital or long-term care setting is preferred but not always required for qualified applicants.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a patient-centered approach.
- Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs as needed.
- Flexibility to work rotating night shifts, weekends, and holidays.
- Must pass a background check and drug screening.
