Responsibilities
- Accurately dispense prescription medications under pharmacist supervision
- Manage inventory control and medication ordering processes
- Process insurance claims and handle billing inquiries
- Provide exceptional customer service and patient counseling
- Maintain compliance with pharmacy regulations and HIPAA guidelines
- Operate automated dispensing systems and pharmacy software
- Assist with prescription compounding and sterile preparations
Qualifications
- Active Pharmacy Technician certification (PTCB or ExCPT)
- Minimum 1 year of retail/hospital pharmacy experience
- Strong knowledge of prescription medications and medical terminology
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Proficiency in pharmacy management software (e.g., QS1, Omnicell)
- Attention to detail and high accuracy in medication handling
- Ohio state pharmacy license or willingness to obtain immediately
