Responsibilities
- Dispense prescription medications accurately and efficiently under pharmacist supervision
- Manage inventory control and pharmaceutical stock rotation systems
- Process insurance claims and maintain patient records with HIPAA compliance
- Provide exceptional customer service and patient consultation support
- Compound sterile and non-sterile medications per protocols
- Maintain compliance with DEA, FDA, and state pharmacy regulations
Qualifications
- Active New York State Pharmacy Technician license required
- PTCB or ExCPT certification preferred
- Minimum 1 year retail/hospital pharmacy experience
- Proficiency in pharmacy management software (e.g., QS1, Omnicell)
- Strong attention to detail and medication safety awareness
- Ability to work efficiently in fast-paced clinical environments
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
