Responsibilities
- Dispense medications accurately and efficiently according to prescriptions
- Manage inventory including ordering, receiving, and tracking controlled substances
- Process insurance claims and resolve billing discrepancies
- Maintain patient records with HIPAA-compliant documentation
- Collaborate with pharmacists on medication therapy management
- Train new technicians on pharmacy protocols and systems
- Ensure compliance with state/federal pharmacy regulations
Qualifications
- Active Washington State Pharmacy Technician license
- CPhT certification (PTCB or ExCPT preferred)
- Minimum 1 year retail/hospital pharmacy experience
- Strong knowledge of drug interactions and pharmaceutical calculations
- Proficiency in pharmacy software (e.g., QS1, Omnicell)
- Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Valid CPR certification (or willingness to obtain)
