Responsibilities
- Accurately dispense prescription medications under pharmacist supervision
- Manage inventory control and medication ordering systems
- Process insurance claims and handle billing inquiries
- Provide exceptional customer service and patient education
- Maintain compliance with HIPAA and pharmacy regulations
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals for seamless patient care
- Assist with compounding and sterile preparations when certified
Qualifications
- Active NC Pharmacy Technician license required
- Prior hospital or retail pharmacy experience preferred
- CPhT certification (PTCB) or ability to obtain within 30 days
- Strong attention to detail and mathematical accuracy
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Basic computer proficiency with pharmacy software
- Valid North Carolina driver's license (for deliveries if required)
