Responsibilities
- Accurately dispense prescription medications under pharmacist supervision
- Manage inventory control and medication ordering systems
- Process insurance claims and patient billing inquiries
- Provide exceptional customer service and patient counseling
- Maintain HIPAA compliance and patient record confidentiality
- Operate pharmacy software (e.g., QS1, Omnicell)
- Assist in sterile compounding preparations
- Collaborate with healthcare providers for medication verification
Qualifications
- Active Texas Pharmacy Technician license (PTCB or ExCPT certified)
- Minimum 1 year retail/hospital pharmacy experience
- Strong knowledge of medication safety protocols
- Proficiency in pharmacy management software
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift 25 lbs
- Background check and drug screen required
- Spanish bilingual preferred
