Responsibilities
- Accurately dispense prescription medications under pharmacist supervision
- Manage inventory, stock shelves, and conduct quality assurance checks
- Process insurance claims and maintain precise patient records
- Counsel patients on medication usage, side effects, and adherence
- Coordinate with healthcare providers and insurance companies
- Maintain HIPAA compliance and sterile compounding protocols
- Train new pharmacy staff on procedures and systems
Qualifications
- Active Florida Pharmacy Technician license (PTCB or ExCPT certified)
- Minimum 1 year retail/hospital pharmacy experience
- Strong knowledge of prescription medications and pharmaceutical terminology
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work efficiently in high-pressure environments
- Proficient with pharmacy management software (e.g., Omnicell, QS/1)
- Detail-oriented with exceptional organizational abilities
- Ability to lift 25 lbs and stand for extended periods
