Responsibilities
- Accurately and efficiently process incoming prescriptions, verifying all patient and medication information.
- Prepare and package medications under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient profiles, insurance records, and inventory logs.
- Assist customers with inquiries regarding prescriptions, insurance coverage, and product availability.
- Ensure the pharmacy is clean, organized, and stocked with necessary supplies.
- Handle cash transactions and manage point-of-sale (POS) systems with precision.
- Adhere to all state and federal regulations, including HIPAA privacy standards.
Qualifications
- Current Pharmacy Technician certification (e.g., CPhT) required.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to perform repetitive tasks accurately.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
- Basic computer proficiency and experience with pharmacy software.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation (optional, for deliveries).
