Responsibilities
- Dispense prescription medications accurately and efficiently under pharmacist supervision
- Manage pharmaceutical inventory, including ordering, receiving, and stock rotation
- Provide exceptional patient education on medication usage and health topics
- Maintain precise records and ensure compliance with HIPAA and state regulations
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to optimize patient care outcomes
- Operate automated dispensing systems and pharmacy technology
- Assist in sterile compounding and medication preparation
Qualifications
- Active California Pharmacy Technician license required
- Minimum 2 years of retail/hospital pharmacy experience
- Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) preferred
- Strong knowledge of pharmaceutical terminology and medication safety
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Proficiency in pharmacy management software (e.g., QS1, Omnicell)
- Ability to work efficiently in fast-paced environments
