Responsibilities
- Accurately dispense prescription medications under pharmacist supervision
- Manage inventory control, ordering, and stock rotation
- Process insurance claims and verify patient information
- Provide exceptional customer service and medication counseling
- Maintain precise patient records and pharmacy documentation
- Assist with compounding and sterile product preparation
- Ensure compliance with DEA, FDA, and state pharmacy regulations
Qualifications
- Active California Pharmacy Technician license (PTCB or ExCPT)
- Minimum 1-2 years of retail or hospital pharmacy experience
- Strong knowledge of prescription medications and pharmacy systems
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to work efficiently in a high-volume environment
- Customer-focused with clear communication abilities
- Proficiency in pharmacy software (e.g., QS1, Rx30)
- Basic understanding of HIPAA and pharmacy compliance
