Responsibilities
- Accurately dispense prescription medications under pharmacist supervision
- Process insurance claims and manage billing operations
- Maintain precise medication inventory and supply chain logistics
- Provide exceptional patient counseling on medication usage
- Ensure HIPAA compliance and regulatory adherence
- Operate pharmacy management systems (e.g., QS/1, Omnicell)
- Compound sterile and non-sterile preparations
- Train new pharmacy technicians on standard protocols
Qualifications
- Active Nevada Pharmacy Technician license
- PTCB or ExCPT certification required
- Minimum 1 year hospital or retail pharmacy experience
- Proficiency in pharmacy software and electronic prescribing
- Strong attention to detail and mathematical accuracy
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work efficiently in high-volume settings
- CPR certification or willingness to obtain
