The Role:
As a Pharmacy Technician, you will be the backbone of our pharmacy operations. You will work under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist to ensure the safe and accurate preparation and distribution of medications to patients.
Responsibilities
- Process and fill prescription orders accurately, including verifying dosage and drug interactions.
- Manage inventory, including receiving shipments, stocking shelves, and monitoring expiration dates.
- Assist customers with prescription inquiries and insurance billing questions.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment in compliance with OSHA standards.
- Prepare and label medications for dispensing.
- Handle cash and credit transactions accurately at the register.
- Collaborate with the pharmacy team to ensure efficient workflow during peak hours.
Qualifications
- Current PTCB (Pharmacy Technician Certification Board) or ExCPT certification required.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs.
- Basic computer skills and familiarity with pharmacy management software.
