Responsibilities
- Accurately dispense and verify prescriptions under pharmacist supervision
- Manage inventory control, including ordering and stock rotation
- Process insurance claims and manage patient billing inquiries
- Provide exceptional patient education on medication usage and side effects
- Maintain HIPAA-compliant patient records and pharmacy documentation
- Operate automated dispensing systems and pharmacy software
- Assist with vaccine administration and clinical services
Qualifications
- Active Pennsylvania Pharmacy Technician certification required
- Minimum 1 year retail or hospital pharmacy experience preferred
- Strong knowledge of prescription medications and pharmaceutical terminology
- Proficiency in pharmacy management software (e.g., QS1, Omnicell)
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in medication handling
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
