Responsibilities
- Perform accurate venipuncture, capillary puncture, and microcollection procedures following strict protocols
- Ensure proper specimen handling, labeling, and processing to maintain integrity
- Provide exceptional patient care with empathy during blood draw procedures
- Maintain sterile techniques and infection control standards
- Operate and troubleshoot laboratory equipment efficiently
- Document all procedures accurately in electronic health records
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to optimize patient flow
Qualifications
- Current Phlebotomy certification (ASCP, AMT, or equivalent)
- Minimum 1 year of clinical phlebotomy experience
- Valid CPR certification
- Strong attention to detail and manual dexterity
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Knowledge of HIPAA and OSHA compliance standards
- High school diploma or equivalent required
