Responsibilities
- Perform venipuncture, capillary draws, and specimen collection following strict protocols
- Ensure accurate patient identification and specimen labeling
- Process and transport specimens to laboratory while maintaining integrity
- Maintain sterile equipment and infection control procedures
- Provide patient education and support during procedures
- Document all activities in electronic health records
- Collaborate with healthcare team for seamless patient care
Qualifications
- Certified Phlebotomy Technician (CPT) or Phlebotomy Technician (PBT) credential
- Minimum 1 year clinical experience in phlebotomy
- Strong knowledge of venipuncture techniques and safety protocols
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- CPR certification or willingness to obtain immediately
- Valid Wisconsin driver's license (for specimen transport)
