Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in acute care settings, including assessment, medication administration, and treatment coordination
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans
- Monitor patient vital signs and respond to emergency situations with rapid intervention
- Document patient progress accurately in electronic health records (EHR) systems
- Educate patients and families on health conditions, treatment plans, and discharge procedures
- Maintain strict adherence to infection control protocols and safety regulations
- Participate in continuous quality improvement initiatives and staff training programs
Qualifications
- Active RN license in the state of Texas (or compact license)
- BSN degree required (ADN candidates with 2+ years acute care experience considered)
- BLS and ACLS certifications required; PALS preferred
- Minimum 1 year of acute care nursing experience in relevant specialty
- Strong proficiency in EHR systems (e.g., Epic, Cerner)
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work in fast-paced environments
