Responsibilities
- Prepare operating rooms and sterile fields before surgical procedures
- Assist surgeons with instrument passing and sterile techniques
- Monitor inventory and surgical supplies, restocking as needed
- Maintain sterile environments and adhere to OSHA/CDC protocols
- Transport patients and assist with positioning/draping
- Scrub in for all surgical specialties including orthopedic, neuro, and general surgery
- Document equipment usage and supply consumption accurately
Qualifications
- Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) or equivalent certification required
- Minimum 2 years recent OR experience preferred
- BLS/CPR certification from American Heart Association
- Knowledge of sterile processing and instrument sterilization
- Ability to work efficiently in high-pressure environments
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Flexibility to work various shifts including call rotation
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
