Responsibilities
- Prepare operating rooms by sterilizing equipment and setting up sterile fields
- Assist surgeons during procedures by passing instruments and supplies
- Maintain sterile environments and enforce aseptic techniques
- Count surgical instruments, sutures, and supplies pre/post-procedure
- Transport patients and position them for optimal surgical access
- Collaborate with anesthesia and nursing teams for seamless workflow
- Document procedures accurately and maintain OR inventory
Qualifications
- Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) or equivalent certification
- Minimum 2 years recent OR experience in hospital setting
- BLS/CPR certification required
- Knowledge of sterile processing and OSHA regulations
- Ability to work efficiently in high-pressure situations
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift 50+ lbs
