Responsibilities
- Assess incoming patient calls using standardized triage protocols to determine urgency and prioritize care
- Provide accurate clinical guidance to patients over the phone while adhering to HIPAA compliance standards
- Collaborate with physicians and care teams to coordinate seamless patient transitions
- Document patient interactions and clinical assessments in EHR systems with meticulous accuracy
- Manage high-volume call queues while maintaining exceptional service quality under pressure
- Identify and escalate critical cases requiring immediate emergency intervention
- Participate in continuous quality improvement initiatives for triage protocols
Qualifications
- Active RN license in Nevada with minimum 3 years emergency/urgent care experience
- BLS and ACLS certifications; TNCC preferred
- Proven expertise in telephone triage protocols and clinical judgment
- Exceptional communication skills with ability to de-escalate anxious patients
- Mastery of EHR systems (Epic/EMR preferred)
- Ability to maintain composure in high-stress, fast-paced environments
- BSN or higher degree strongly preferred
- Spanish bilingualism a significant plus
