Responsibilities
- Assess patient symptoms and prioritize cases based on medical urgency using established triage protocols
- Provide accurate medical advice and instructions to patients via phone and telehealth platforms
- Collaborate with physicians and specialists to coordinate patient care pathways
- Maintain detailed electronic health records with precise documentation of assessments and interventions
- Monitor patient flow and adjust staffing levels to optimize emergency department efficiency
- Educate patients on appropriate healthcare resources and preventive care measures
Qualifications
- Active RN license in Nevada with minimum 3 years emergency department experience
- BLS and ACLS certifications with current renewal status
- Proven expertise in rapid patient assessment and critical decision-making
- Exceptional communication skills with ability to de-escalate anxious patients and families
- Mastery of electronic health record systems (EPIC preferred)
- Ability to work efficiently in high-pressure environments with minimal supervision
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) strongly preferred
