Responsibilities
- Assess patient symptoms and prioritize care based on urgency using standardized triage protocols
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare providers during critical situations
- Accurately document patient information and electronic health records (EHR) systems
- Collaborate with physicians and clinical staff to coordinate patient care plans
- Provide education and guidance to patients regarding treatment options and next steps
- Maintain strict compliance with HIPAA regulations and hospital policies
- Respond to medical emergencies and initiate life-saving interventions when required
Qualifications
- Active RN license in the state of Nevada
- Minimum 2 years of emergency department or triage experience
- BLS and ACLS certifications required
- Strong assessment and critical thinking skills
- Proficiency in EHR systems (e.g., Epic, Cerner)
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure in high-volume settings
- BSN degree preferred (ADN candidates with equivalent experience considered)
