Responsibilities
- Perform venipuncture and capillary blood draws across diverse patient demographics
- Process and label specimens with 100% accuracy for laboratory testing
- Maintain sterile techniques and infection control standards
- Verify patient identification and ensure proper documentation
- Operate automated blood collection equipment and centrifuges
- Provide patient education during procedures to reduce anxiety
- Collaborate with clinical staff to optimize workflow efficiency
Qualifications
- Current Phlebotomy Technician certification (ASCP, NHA, or equivalent)
- 1+ years of clinical blood draw experience in a fast-paced setting
- BLS/CPR certification from a recognized provider
- Exceptional venipuncture skills with minimal callbacks
- Strong knowledge of OSHA and HIPAA compliance protocols
- Ability to remain calm and professional during emergency situations
- Valid Kansas driver's license and reliable transportation
