Responsibilities
- Assess patients via telephone triage using standardized protocols
- Provide accurate medical advice and prioritize patient care levels
- Document patient interactions and clinical decisions in EMR systems
- Collaborate with physicians and healthcare teams for complex cases
- Manage patient flow and coordinate emergency department resources
- Educate patients on home care and follow-up instructions
- Maintain strict compliance with HIPAA and hospital policies
Qualifications
- Active RN license in Texas (TX RN)
- Minimum 2 years emergency department or triage experience
- BLS and ACLS certifications required
- Excellent critical thinking and communication skills
- Proficiency in electronic medical records (EMR) systems
- Ability to work efficiently in high-pressure environments
- Spanish bilingual preferred but not required
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred
