Responsibilities
- Perform rapid patient assessments using ESI (Emergency Severity Index) protocols
- Coordinate with physicians to prioritize patient acuity levels
- Document electronic health records with 100% accuracy
- Provide telehealth triage support during peak hours
- Maintain HIPAA compliance in all communications
- Train triage assistants on emergency protocols
- Collaborate with social work for patient disposition planning
Qualifications
- Active TN RN license with 3+ years clinical experience
- BLS/ACLS certification required
- Triage certification (ENA or equivalent)
- Proficiency in Epic EHR systems
- Exceptional critical thinking under pressure
- Experience with ESI-5 triage scale
- Strong conflict resolution skills
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing preferred
