Responsibilities
- Assess patient conditions using systematic triage protocols to prioritize care in emergency settings
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and multidisciplinary healthcare teams
- Accurately document patient encounters in electronic health records (EHR) systems
- Administer initial interventions and stabilize patients while awaiting physician evaluation
- Collaborate with emergency department staff to ensure optimal patient flow and resource allocation
- Provide education to patients regarding treatment plans and discharge instructions
- Maintain strict compliance with HIPAA and hospital safety protocols
Qualifications
- Active RN license in the state of Florida
- Minimum 2 years of emergency room or urgent care experience
- BSN degree or equivalent (ADN candidates with relevant experience considered)
- Current ACLS, BLS, and PALS certifications
- Exceptional critical thinking and decision-making abilities
- Strong proficiency in EHR systems (e.g., Epic, Cerner)
- Spanish language proficiency highly preferred for serving Miami's diverse population
