Responsibilities
- Assess incoming patients' medical conditions via phone and in-person triage
- Prioritize cases based on urgency using established protocols
- Collaborate with physicians and ER staff to coordinate patient flow
- Maintain accurate electronic health records and documentation
- Provide clear instructions to patients regarding next steps
- Monitor and update patient status changes in real-time
- Participate in continuous quality improvement initiatives
Qualifications
- Active RN license in Florida (or compact state)
- Minimum 2 years ER or urgent care experience
- BLS, ACLS, and TNCC certifications required
- Exceptional critical thinking and decision-making skills
- Strong communication abilities in English and Spanish preferred
- Proficient in Epic or similar EMR systems
- Ability to work efficiently under high-pressure situations
