Responsibilities
- Perform initial patient assessments and triage based on symptom severity to determine the appropriate level of care.
- Communicate effectively with patients and referring physicians to facilitate timely treatment plans.
- Document all patient interactions and triage decisions accurately and comprehensively in the EMR system.
- Provide health education and guidance to patients regarding self-care and preventative measures.
- Collaborate with providers to prioritize urgent cases and manage patient flow efficiently.
- Monitor incoming calls and messages, ensuring no patient inquiries fall through the cracks.
Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Wisconsin.
- Current BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certifications.
- Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in a triage or clinical setting.
- Strong critical thinking and decision-making skills under pressure.
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
- Proficiency with electronic health record (EHR) systems.
