Responsibilities
- Assess patient conditions using standardized triage protocols and prioritize care based on medical urgency
- Collaborate with physicians, specialists, and nursing teams to develop comprehensive care plans
- Document patient interactions accurately in EMR systems while maintaining HIPAA compliance
- Provide clear, compassionate communication to patients and families during high-stress situations
- Monitor and track department metrics to optimize patient flow and resource allocation
- Mentor junior staff and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives
- Participate in emergency preparedness drills and departmental quality reviews
Qualifications
- Current Arizona RN license with unrestricted practice status
- Minimum 3 years of emergency department or urgent care experience
- BLS, ACLS, and TNCC certifications required (PALS preferred)
- BSN or higher degree from accredited institution
- Exceptional critical thinking and decision-making abilities
- Proven experience in high-volume, fast-paced clinical environments
- Demonstrated proficiency in electronic medical records (EPIC preferred)
- Strong interpersonal skills with ability to de-escalate tense situations
