Responsibilities
- Prepare operating rooms and sterile fields for surgical procedures
- Assist surgeons during operations by passing instruments and supplies
- Maintain sterile environments and enforce infection control protocols
- Count and inventory surgical instruments before/after procedures
- Transport patients and specimens to/from surgical areas
- Operate sterilization equipment and maintain supply inventory
- Document procedural activities in patient records
Qualifications
- Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) credential required
- Minimum 1 year of recent OR experience preferred
- Knowledge of sterile processing and surgical instrumentation
- Ability to work efficiently in fast-paced environments
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
- Must be able to lift 50+ pounds and stand for extended periods
