Responsibilities
- Perform rapid patient assessments using emergency triage protocols
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and multidisciplinary teams
- Document clinical observations and care plans in EHR systems
- Coordinate with emergency departments and specialists for patient transfers
- Provide clear instructions to patients regarding home care or next steps
- Maintain compliance with HIPAA and regulatory standards
- Participate in continuous quality improvement initiatives
Qualifications
- Current VA RN license with BSN preferred
- Minimum 2 years emergency department or urgent care experience
- BLS and ACLS certifications required
- Excellent critical thinking and decision-making abilities
- Strong interpersonal communication skills
- Experience with Epic or similar EHR platforms
- Ability to work efficiently in high-pressure situations
