Responsibilities
- Perform vital signs, weight, height, and other routine screenings accurately and efficiently.
- Assist providers with patient examinations, procedures, and treatments in a clinical setting.
- Prepare and maintain medical records, including updating patient charts and filing documentation.
- Administer medications, injections, and vaccines under the direct supervision of a licensed provider.
- Greet patients warmly, manage check-in and check-out processes, and ensure patient privacy.
- Coordinate patient referrals and laboratory testing as required.
- Adhere to all HIPAA compliance and safety protocols strictly.
Qualifications
- Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Medical Assistant graduate (MA) from an accredited institution.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
- Previous experience in a clinical or medical office setting is highly preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a focus on patient comfort.
- Ability to work weekends (Saturday and Sunday) and holidays as scheduled.
- Proficiency in electronic health records (EHR) systems is a plus.
