Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care including bathing, dressing, and toileting assistance (ADLs).
- Monitor and record vital signs, such as blood pressure, temperature, and pulse, accurately.
- Assist patients with mobility issues using walkers, wheelchairs, or hoyer lifts safely.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by the RN or LPN under supervision.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and sanitary environment for all patients and common areas.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the interdisciplinary care team.
- Document patient care activities and changes in condition in electronic health records (EHR).
Qualifications
- Current Kansas State CNA license required.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association.
- Previous experience in a long-term care or hospital setting preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a patient-centric approach.
- Ability to work weekends (Saturday and Sunday) and holidays as required.
- Physical stamina to stand, walk, and lift patients frequently throughout the shift.
