Responsibilities
- Perform patient intakes, including reviewing medical history and updating Electronic Health Records (EHR).
- Measure and record vital signs, such as blood pressure, heart rate, temperature, and height/weight.
- Assist providers during examinations and procedures, ensuring patient comfort and safety.
- Prepare exam rooms and sterilize medical equipment to maintain strict hygiene standards.
- Collect and process lab specimens, including blood draws (phlebotomy) and urine samples.
- Coordinate patient follow-up appointments and provide basic health education.
Qualifications
- Certification as a Medical Assistant (CMA, RMA, or MA) preferred.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and ACLS certification required.
- 1+ years of clinical experience in a physician's office or clinic setting.
- Strong computer literacy and proficiency with EHR systems (Epic, AthenaHealth, etc.).
- Excellent communication skills and a patient-centered approach.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift patients or equipment as needed.
