Responsibilities

  • Perform patient intakes, including reviewing medical history and updating Electronic Health Records (EHR).
  • Measure and record vital signs, such as blood pressure, heart rate, temperature, and height/weight.
  • Assist providers during examinations and procedures, ensuring patient comfort and safety.
  • Prepare exam rooms and sterilize medical equipment to maintain strict hygiene standards.
  • Collect and process lab specimens, including blood draws (phlebotomy) and urine samples.
  • Coordinate patient follow-up appointments and provide basic health education.

Qualifications

  • Certification as a Medical Assistant (CMA, RMA, or MA) preferred.
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and ACLS certification required.
  • 1+ years of clinical experience in a physician's office or clinic setting.
  • Strong computer literacy and proficiency with EHR systems (Epic, AthenaHealth, etc.).
  • Excellent communication skills and a patient-centered approach.
