As a Weekend Medical Assistant, you will play a crucial role in ensuring our clinic runs smoothly during high-volume weekend hours.
Responsibilities
- Perform accurate patient intake, vitals monitoring, and medical history reviews.
- Assist providers with examinations, procedures, and minor office surgeries.
- Prepare examination rooms with necessary instruments and supplies.
- Manage patient flow efficiently to minimize wait times.
- Administer medications and injections as directed by providers.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date Electronic Health Records (EHR).
- Coordinate with front desk staff to ensure seamless check-in and check-out processes.
Qualifications
- Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) preferred.
- Current BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS certifications required.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in a clinical setting.
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology and anatomy.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work weekends (Saturday and Sunday) with flexibility for occasional holidays.
- Proficient in using EMR/EHR systems.
