Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care, including bathing, dressing, and grooming assistance.
- Monitor and record vital signs (blood pressure, pulse, temperature) accurately.
- Assist patients with mobility and transfers using proper body mechanics and assistive devices.
- Prepare meals and ensure patients are eating properly and staying hydrated.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and sanitary environment for residents and staff.
- Document care provided and report any changes in patient condition to the Registered Nurse immediately.
- Engage residents in meaningful social and recreational activities.
Qualifications
- Current CNA Certification (CNA-I or CNA-II) in the State of Colorado.
- Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification from the American Heart Association required.
- Previous experience in a clinical, long-term care, or assisted living setting preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with patients and families.
- Ability to stand, walk, and lift up to 50 lbs frequently throughout the shift.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
- Compassionate, patient, and detail-oriented demeanor.
