Responsibilities
- Assist patients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Monitor and record vital signs, such as blood pressure, temperature, and pulse.
- Implement and document patient care plans as directed by the Registered Nurse.
- Provide emotional support and companionship to patients and their families.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and sanitary patient environment.
- Communicate effectively with the interdisciplinary healthcare team regarding patient status and needs.
Qualifications
- Current and active Texas State CNA License required.
- CPR/BLS Certification (Basic Life Support) valid and up-to-date.
- Previous experience in long-term care or home health preferred but not mandatory.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work weekends and holidays as required by the schedule.
- Physical stamina to assist with patient transfers and mobility.
