Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care, including assistance with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Monitor and record patient vital signs, including temperature, blood pressure, pulse, and respiration rates.
- Assist with patient mobility, transfers, and ambulation using proper body mechanics and equipment.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by licensed nursing staff under supervision.
- Document patient care activities accurately and in a timely manner using electronic health records (EHR).
- Maintain a clean, safe, and sanitary environment for patients and staff.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the interdisciplinary care team.
Qualifications
- Current North Carolina CNA certification (CNA I) and license.
- CPR/BLS certification (Basic Life Support) required.
- Previous experience in a long-term care, assisted living, or hospital setting preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work weekends, holidays, and on-call as required.
- Compassionate demeanor with a genuine desire to help others.
- Physical stamina to perform heavy lifting and prolonged standing.
