Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care, including bathing, dressing, and grooming assistance.
- Monitor and record vital signs, such as blood pressure and temperature.
- Assist with mobility, transfers, and the use of medical equipment safely.
- Communicate patient status and changes to the nursing staff and physicians promptly.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized patient environment in compliance with hygiene standards.
- Administer medications as directed by licensed nurses.
- Offer emotional support and companionship to patients and their families.
Qualifications
- Current and valid Illinois CNA license.
- CPR/BLS certification required.
- Previous experience in a hospital or long-term care setting preferred.
- Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 50 lbs as needed.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Flexibility to work varying weekend shifts (Fri-Sun).
- Reliable transportation to the Chicago location.
