Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care, including assistance with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Monitor and accurately record vital signs, including blood pressure, temperature, pulse, and respiration rates.
- Assist patients with mobility issues, including transferring them to and from beds, wheelchairs, and walkers using proper body mechanics.
- Implement and document individualized care plans under the supervision of registered nurses.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the healthcare team to ensure continuity of care.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for patients at all times.
- Respond promptly to patient requests and emergency situations following facility protocols.
Qualifications
- Current and active Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license in the state of Indiana.
- Previous experience in a long-term care or hospital setting is preferred.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to lift, push, and pull patients weighing up to 50 lbs.
- Compassionate nature with a strong commitment to patient dignity and privacy.
- Reliable transportation and ability to work weekends.
