Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality direct patient care and assistance with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs).
- Monitor vital signs, including blood pressure, temperature, and pulse, and report significant changes to the nursing staff.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians, strictly following safety protocols.
- Assist with personal hygiene, grooming, and mobility to ensure patient comfort and dignity.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient care activities and progress notes.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the interdisciplinary care team.
- Adhere to all facility policies, procedures, and regulatory standards (CMS, HIPAA).
Qualifications
- Current, unencumbered Indiana CNA (Certified Nursing Assistant) license.
- CPR/BLS (Basic Life Support) certification from the American Heart Association or Red Cross.
- Previous experience in a hospital, nursing home, or acute care setting is preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a focus on patient-centered care.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting and moving patients, as required.
- Flexibility to work various weekend shifts, including holidays, as needed.
- Compassionate demeanor with a strong work ethic.
