Responsibilities
- Assist patients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, and toileting.
- Monitor and record patient vital signs, such as blood pressure and pulse, and report abnormalities.
- Provide emotional support and companionship to patients and their families.
- Assist with mobility, transfer, and ambulation using proper body mechanics and assistive devices.
- Prepare and serve meals according to dietary restrictions and feeding guidelines.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized patient environment.
- Document patient care activities accurately and timely.
Qualifications
- Current and active Texas CNA License required.
- Previous experience in a hospital, nursing home, or home health setting is preferred.
- Must be available to work weekend shifts (Saturday and Sunday).
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- CPR/BLS Certification is required.
- Basic computer literacy for electronic charting.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
