Responsibilities
- Provide Direct Patient Care: Assist patients with activities of daily living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility assistance.
- Vital Signs Monitoring: Accurately measure and record patient vital signs such as blood pressure, temperature, pulse, and respiration.
- Medication Administration: Support patients with medication reminders and document administration as per facility protocols.
- Communication: Effectively communicate changes in patient condition to the nursing staff and physicians.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records and shift notes.
- Environment Safety: Ensure the patient’s environment is safe, clean, and free from hazards.
Qualifications
- CNA Certification: Active and unencumbered Certified Nursing Assistant license in the state of New York.
- Experience: Minimum of 1 year of experience in a healthcare setting preferred, especially in home care or long-term care.
- Flexibility: Must be available to work weekends (Saturday and Sunday) on a rotating or fixed schedule.
- Compassion: Strong interpersonal skills and a genuine passion for helping the elderly or disabled population.
- CPR Certification: Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required.
- Background Check: Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.
