Responsibilities
- Perform patient intake, accurately recording medical history and vital signs.
- Prepare examination rooms and sterilize medical instruments before procedures.
- Assist providers during patient exams and minor procedures.
- Administer injections, immunizations, and medications following strict protocols.
- Manage patient flow, scheduling appointments, and verifying insurance information.
- Maintain strict HIPAA compliance and patient confidentiality at all times.
- Handle administrative duties such as filing charts and processing lab results.
Qualifications
- Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) required.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification.
- Minimum of 1 year of clinical experience in a primary care or specialty setting preferred.
- Strong computer proficiency with Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work well in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
- Valid North Carolina driver's license and reliable transportation.
