Responsibilities
- Patient Monitoring: Accurately measure and record vital signs, such as blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiration rates.
- Care Assistance: Assist patients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Hygiene & Comfort: Ensure patients are clean, comfortable, and well-hydrated at all times.
- Communication: Maintain clear and concise communication with the nursing team, physicians, and families regarding patient status and changes in condition.
- Safety & Sanitation: Adhere to strict infection control protocols and maintain a safe environment for patients and staff.
- Documentation: Accurately complete and update patient care logs and incident reports.
Qualifications
- Certification: Current, active California State CNA License required.
- CPR: Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification through the American Heart Association.
- Education: High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- Experience: Minimum of 1 year of experience in a hospital or long-term care setting preferred.
- Skills: Strong compassion, patience, and physical stamina. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Reliability: Must be available to work weekends (Saturday and Sunday) on a consistent basis.
